Natural gas has changed the world’s energy equation.
It has been proven to substantially cut greenhouse gas emissions for our planet while providing the reliable and affordable power America needs. At the same time, natural gas promotes greater fuel diversity by providing the flexible power generation that make wind and solar more viable.
But homeowners and businesses can’t take advantage of the benefits natural gas offers alone.
- Congress and the White House can do more to support and facilitate Liquefied National Gas (LNG) exports from the United States to countries around the globe.
- State and local governments need to do more to support infrastructure like pipelines and storage capacity.
- Regulators across the United States must recognize that market-driven natural gas generation will continue to drive cost-effective emission reductions and must avoid picking winners and losers by subsidizing or mandating specific types of generation.
